Purchase Limit Policy

Arbitrary? Maybe a bit. Necessary? Definitely.

To ensure fair access for all customers, the following rules apply to all limited-quantity items, in-store and online:

Purchase Limits

Our standing rule is 2 per customer for all items unless specifically marked. All 1-per items will be clearly labeled. The 2-per limit applies automatically to most items (comics in particular).

These limits are enforced in accordance with our Terms of Service, Section 6.

Groups

Anyone shopping together counts as a single group—both in-store and online. Attempted multiple orders from the same person or connected parties may be canceled or refunded.

Multiple Visits & Transactions

Limits apply across multiple visits or transactions.

Pre-Orders & Subscriptions

Limits apply unless ordered prior to FOC (Final Order Cut-Off).

Enforcement

Staff monitor all purchases. Customers exceeding limits may be asked to reduce quantities, have orders canceled, or refunded.

Sales Associate Discretion

At the end of the day, it’s up to our staff. If we suspect someone is trying to bypass limits, we may refuse additional sales or adjust quantities as necessary to ensure fairness.

Goal

These rules exist to make sure as many customers as possible leave with what they want. That’s the core idea: fairness and access for everyone. Without these limits, a few people could buy all the stock, leaving others disappointed or unable to purchase the items they were hoping for.

By setting clear boundaries—whether it’s limiting purchases per person, treating groups as a single customer, or monitoring multiple visits—we create a system that spreads opportunities more evenly across everyone who walks through our doors or shops online.

It’s not about restricting freedom; it’s about sharing the wealth. Every rule is designed with one goal in mind: to give the largest number of people a chance to get the items they want. These rules help prevent frustration, reduce the risk of stock depletion for others, and make shopping more predictable and enjoyable for everyone.

Even when our staff must exercise their discretion, the principle stays the same: fairness, transparency, and maximizing satisfaction. So when you see a limit, know it’s not arbitrary—it’s part of a system carefully designed to make your experience, and everyone else’s, as positive as possible.
