Perry White attempts to capture Gentleman Jerry, a crook posing as a hobo. Perry is hit on the head and has amnesia and is tricked into trying to find out Superman's secret identity.

Kandorian scientist Lesla-Lar switches places with Lena Thorul, then frees Zod, Jax-Ur, and Kru-El from the Phantom Zone. They recover a cache of Kryptonian super-weapons to engage with Supergirl, who is forced to retreat. Lesla-Lar is killed testing a disintegrator. Supergirl enlists the help of Lex Luthor, who wants his sister to be rescued from Kandor.
