Entrepreneur Julian Lish has persuaded Dr. Stan Mayakovsky, who is dying of cancer, to come with her on an expedition to a planet where they can gather the Alien queen's jelly, making them all rich and providing Mayakovsky with enough jelly to alleviate his constant pain. The jelly is much sought after as it has different euphoric effects on different humans. With them is the doctor's creation, an android Alien, which they hope to be able to sneak unnoticed into the queen's hive and retrieve the jelly. The landing craft, with Norbert the android Alien, sets down on the planet's surface.
Marketing director Bob Schreck urges comic book readers and collectors to read what they buy and only buy what they like, and not to speculate. He gives examples of some of his favorite non-Dark Horse comics.
