Killraven gets his revenge on the Keeper but discovers that it is a hollow victory.
Describes the creative process that led to the Killraven story. No letters this issue.
On-sale date from The Comic Reader #93, January 1973.
- They Call Him -- Killraven! - Per Nick Caputo review of the art, the ink credits should be John Romita not Mike Esposito, who Marvel has credited in reprints. Letters credit from Marvel Comics Index No. 8B by George Olshevsky.
- The War of the Worlds! - Series concept by Roy Thomas, original plot and lead character by Neal Adams. Some concepts taken from H.G. Wells's novel. Story includes flashbacks to the 1901 and 2001 invasion. Art credits do not state which pages are by Neal Adams and which are by Howard Chaykin. The credits on page 7 simply state art by Neal Adams & Howard Chaykin, inked by F Chiaramonte. Text article War of the Words describes Howard Chaykin as "finishing up the last half of the book nearly overnight". Earlier versions of this entry have Adams pencilling pages 1 - 11 and Chaykin 12 - 20. Chaykin confirms having drawn page 7.
- A First for Marvel! - House ad for Haunt of Horror. This is the digest-size prose series that lasted only two issues. Haunt of Horror Magazine (Marvel, 1973 Series).
