  • In the Cavern Waits --- Doom! - Roy Thomas speculates on page one of the text article, "Of Bears and Beast-Men" in Conan Classic (Marvel, 1994 series) #2 (July 1994) that Herb Trimpe possibly altered Conan's torso on the cover of Conan the Barbarian #2 "at the direction of Stan [Lee] or [Martin] Goodman".
  • Lair of the Beast-Men! - The coloring credits were acknowledged by Barry Windsor-Smith in Spectrum Super Special #3 (2005). Conan is in chains for the first time. Story page count is 20 (numbered) in book, but since pages 12 and 13 are half-pages (shared with adverts), the total comes to 19 pages in this index. In reprints the two halfs are normally joined back into one.
