An alien work crew comes to earth and starts leveling buildings, but it's all for the purpose of saving Earth. The aliens know that a white dwarf star is on a collision course with Earth so they want to mount a cannon to deflect the star from its path. But they miss. Earth's last chance is Rick Jordan, who's invented the Graviton, a device that can create a temporary zero gravity field and allow Rick to plant explosives on the dwarf star.

Scientist Hal Worth accidentally discovers a serum that causes him to grow wings and assume other bird-like abilities, which he uses to stop an alien invasion.

In the year 2956, a classroom of students learns about Calvin Jackson, the mailman who prevented an alien invasion of Earth in 1963 (and after whom their school is named).

Analysis by several art scholars points to pencils, perhaps loose only, by Novick with the faces retouched/redrawn by another artist, most likely Curt Swan.
